My name is Katie Byron (they/them). I hold an MDiv and MSW from Boston University as well as a certificate in Religion and Conflict Transformation. I am a candidate for Unitarian Universalist ministry. ​

I am originally from New Jersey, although I also spent six years in Tokyo as a teenager. I returned to the States to attend Brown University, where I studied Computational Biology and Gender and Sexuality Studies. Outside the classroom, I organized around university responses to sexual violence.

I completed a pre-doctoral bioethics fellowship at the National Institutes of Health. My research focuses on gender, sexuality, and health with an emphasis on medical decision-making. I organized and made art with The Sanctuaries. I also volunteered with the DC Doulas for Choice Collective, providing support to people accessing abortion care in the DC area.
